Creating Together in Inner City Dublin

We have had an incredible first month working with people from all backgrounds in Inner City Dublin at our Art Installation & Decor workshops. Our volunteers are a mix of professional artists, community artists and others enthusiasts looking to get their creativity on. They have been painting, knitting, weaving, sewing and doing paper crafts to transform Smithfield Square into a colourful space for all to enjoy on September 16th!

We’ve also engaged with specific community groups such as young people from Stoneybatter Youth Services who handcrafted and sewed colourful bunting for our zone signage and participants from WALK, a social enterprise which aims at empowering people with intellectual disabilities to live free and autonomous lives. Come and see their mural: a world map representing Dublin as a welcoming and diverse city!

The workshops are still taking place every Saturday and Sunday until the festival on the 16th of September. If you wish to get involved in this crazy project, please get in touch with Michele, workshop leader, at
