About Us

Formerly BlueFire Street Fest, Dublinternational is a World Cultures multidisciplinary arts festival. An Aladdin’s Cave of Cultural Delights, we celebrate & showcase the diverse arts being produced in our multicultural city.

Dublinternational is proudly sponsored by Dublin City Council, The Arts Council and The Ireland Funds

About Dublinternational:

Formerly BlueFire Street Fest,

Dublinternational was founded to connect with, and provide a platform for the wide variety of arts in our now multicultural city, and to create a space where people from diverse cultures could meet, BlueFire is now a thriving at producing events for 6 years. Bringing together over 150 artists, from a mixture of professional and amateur backgrounds, the festival is an eclectic mix of Dublin’s arts scene.
Central to

Dublinternational is Community Engagement, wherein the lead up we bring people from diverse cultures together to create an element, performance or art installation for the festival. Many of the young people we work with wouldn’t previously have had the opportunity to engage with the arts in a meaningful way, or had the opportunity to connect with people from different cultures.

Dublinternational is run by a team of young volunteers and they work hard throughout the year to transform Smithfield Square into a colourful and stirring celebration of Dublin’s diversity.

BlueFire Street Fest’s first edition took place in Wolfe Tone Square with about 3,000 visitors. We transitioned to Smithfield Square the following year and started offering more activities and performances. Today, the festival is the flagship event of BlueFire (the organisation), attracting over 10,000 people on an annual basis.

This continues to be an incredible journey for us all and we are grateful to everyone who has supported us throughout this journey. We can’t wait to celebrate the 6th #Dublinternational with you on 15th September 2018!

Our Partners:

Over the past 6 years, we’ve built strong relationships with local businesses and statutory agencies. Dublinternational simply wouldn’t exist without the support of our partners, not just in terms of financial support, but with organisations, and individuals in these organisations, who’ve actively encouraged us and collaborated with us.

Special thanks goes to:

  • Dublin City Council
  • The Arts Council

Mission: Empowering young people to foster cohesive communities

Vision: A modern, positive, productive Dublin that celebrates and embraces intercultural relationships, and the role of young people as meaningful agents of change.
